Members of Year 5’s Chestnuts class worked tirelessly to organise the event ‘Onsie Wednesday’ to raise money for the charity ‘The National Autistic Society’. The event took place on Wednesday 1st April 2015.
The charity team worked through their dinner and break times to put together the plan to raise money for the cause which is close to their hearts. Members of the class have loved ones who suffer from autism and know how severely it can affect people’s lives. For this reason they held a cake sale and raffle as well as asking everyone to wear a onesie.
The school raised over £250 for this great cause. What great citizens Wood Lane School has. We are all very proud!
